Cool show this past Friday night. My friends James Cruz and Jeff Cole came down from Dallas. James Cruz opened the set and then played Mandolin with us! I'm having fun having various instrumentalists join us on stage. We'll see you on Jan.3, at Hole in the Wall (next year!) Merry X-Mas. |

This past Friday I played solo on a bill called The Round @ Space 12. If you haven't been to Space 12 (on east 12th) you should...very cool place! "The Round" was started in Seattle. It combines lots of different artists sort of improvising together. It goes like 6 rounds where everyone does their thing. There were 3 songwriters including me, Nicolette Manglos and Beaver Nelson. They were great by the way. Also, there were visual artists painting during the songs...as well as slam poets performing each round (wow!) A very fun, unique evening to say the least... |

Also, what a whirlwind this weekend. We moved the show from Tiniest Bar to Carousel Lounge the night before it was scheduled to happen (three bands!)...and it seemed to go off without a hitch. There was a great crowd, and it was truly an amazing night of music! Wow, I can't believe that was a free show...David Ramirez & Paul Banks...you guys were stellar. Let's do it again. |

We've had to change venue for Nov 7 (today) at the last moment...Tiniest Bar has lost their live music permit and I was just informed at the last second...so, we are changing the venue to the Carousel Lounge. I must say it's pretty cool that this worked out at the last minute. David Ramirez at 9:30, B. Sterling Band at 10:30, Paul Banks at 11:30. It's still a free show and great lineup so come on out. Hmmm...oh, yeah it's a cash bar so bring $. See you there! |

Cool show at Tiniest the other night. Getting ready to head out to Beerland...never played there before...definitely looking forward to it. Nov 7th is going to be an awesome set at The Tiniest Bar. It's on Saturday night, David Ramirez is playing first at 8:30 (awesome songwriter), we go on in the middle at 9:30, and Paul Banks goes on at 10:30 (awesome again). Definitely don't be anywhere else that night! |
